Measuring existing fittings.

1. Measure the width of the track or pole

2. If you want the track to be visible when you draw the curtains measure from the
hook or ring to the point where you want the curtains to finish. If you don't want to
see the track measure from the top of the track to where you want the curtains to finish
( eg the window sill or floor)

Handy hints on measuring

Tip  If you are measuring for blinds think first whether the blind is to be in a recess or
outside. Take measurements vertically from top to bottom both at the sides and the centre

Do the same horizontally measuring across the top, the middle and the bottom.

Tip: When thinking about curtains, think about the heading you are planning so we can prepare  a quote as different headings require different amount of fabrics, how full do you want your curtains, ( x2 the width of track /pole) will give a nice fullness, x 2 ½ will give a more generous fullness. also think about whether you want to have the curtains drawn back off the window or whether you like them hanging at the side.

If you have a narrow space either side of your window a Pinch, Goblet & Eyelet & wave heading are a great choice as they fold very neatly into a small space. It is also possible to have the curtains made so they only draw to one side.
